A negative COVID-19 PCR test does NOT rule out COVID-19. If you develop signs or symptoms consistent with COVID-19 following a negative PCR test, we recommend you self isolate, contact your medical provider and seek additional testing to confirm the diagnosis. We also encourage any traveler who is ill with symptoms consistent with COVID-19 to avoid travel and contact their medical provider regardless of test results.
If you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 and you receive a negative test result you must still quarantine for 14 days. The Department of Public Health should contact all patients with a positive COVID-19 test.
Pre-travel screening (recreational travel is discouraged at this time).
Recent exposure (wait 4-7 days before testing)
Diagnosis confirmation in a patient with signs or symptoms consistent with COVID-19
